[Sup Honkers. He pulls away from the glass and waves excitedly. SUPER EXCITED. He can barely contain it.]

[Haru presses a hand to the glass and focuses on the fish. They quickly come over, a huge school gathering. With a move of his hand, he gets them to move! He has them twirl together and swim upward, eventually letting go. They disperse naturally and Haru smiles more.]

See? Super cool! Pretty, too, right?

Uh, yeah. [ He's just sort of... staring...

because he was expecting that, but at the same time, he was not expecting that. ] Pretty.

[He beams, looking back to the glass. He closes his eyes and then pulls away, spinning.]

They say thank you!! They like compliments like that.

Yeah? I guess that makes sense. [ Still kinda staring... a little bit.... ] So they'll do pretty much anything you ask?

Yup! I usually just make them do it, but... I ask, too! Just in case they don't want to.

[You'd think he'd use this power to his advantage with fishing.... but he doesn't. He hardly uses it on fish.]

Yeah! It's good to ask. But I don't think they mind too much if I just tell them. I thank them! And I let them go back to what they're doing.

Do they remember you if you talk to them again? [ He cocks his head to one side. ]

Yep! Fish have good memories! They're not as smart as we are, but that's because we're aliens. We have powers, these ones don't. So it's different!

Yeah? [ He cocks his head to the other side. ] People say fish have really bad memories. I guess it's just goldfish, but anyway. I heard it wasn't true, I was just wondering.

Huh... that's weird! But humans wouldn't really know, would they? They're not fish.

You'd think, right? That's what I'd think. I'm not even really human, either.
